Smallish homespun sort of breakfast and lunch place with really good food! This is my fourth visit and I've been consistently impressed with the food. The sausage patties are excellent - not the usually greasy cheap pork stuff, not overly salted. Scrambled eggs with cheese and salsa were fresh, flavorful - my english muffin was well-toasted like I prefer and the side of fruit salad was fresh and good. My companions skillet breakast looked fantastic - he said it was really good.Our only complaint was discovering that sides of salsa cost 1.39 each and only learning that when presented with the bill. Salsa is normally free of charge and this should have been free or the cost explained before delivering it to our table.
This is such a reliable breakfast spot. What impresses us the most, they do everything well. At it’s not exorbitantly priced. We’re from atl and feel qualified to say their grits and biscuits and gravy are great. The chilaquiles is awesome, in house corned beef, great pancakes. And the donuts! There are places with far better reviews nearby and they don’t even come close to the quality of this place.
First time at Eggshells and it was great. Omelet was a good size and value. Everything else looked . They have fresh donuts, and while I didn't have one myself, my friend i was eating with try the samples and said they were great - he took two to go! Coffee was good. Service was good. Pleased with they prices also.
Honestly such a good meal Sunday! Everything tasted fantastic. Biscuits and Gravy are 5 star! Bone in ham is delicious! They have recently moved...make sure you follow them to new location!
Local Place for the locals. Great diner food for any appetite. But, the best part is the bakery - fresh made every day and sold out by noon. The service is great and kindly. Come enjoy a tasty treat in Lake Zurich...because the locals all know where the best place for breakfast is in the neighborhood.

Been here 3 times so far! This is definitely my new favorite brunch place! Was here for the 2nd time last Wed 6/12! My server, Miss Tristan, did a great job serving me quickly and efficiently! That time, I ordered the Maximo Skillet (because I LOVE chorizo), along with the Salmon Platter (with a whole wheat bagel and cream cheese), and a side of their awesome corned beef and a side of bacon! Everything was DELICIOUS ... which is why I returned for a 3rd time (last Saturday 6/15)! That time, I had Sandra as my server! She was GREAT --unlike the other times I dined here, she also gave me the Specials Menu, which has a ton of great menu items I didn't know existed! For example, the Pork Chop & Eggs Special, which I ordered (it came with 2 side choices, so I had Cheese Grits and fruit)! I also ordered the Salmon Platter and sides of their AWESOME corned beef and a side of bacon! Everything again, was AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS!! Sandra was very quick, efficient, pleasant, professional, very knowledgeable and the most experienced server I've ever had here! The place is nice, roomy/airy, and clean! I will definitely be back!//Just dined here for the first time (Friday, 5-3-2024)! (A friend of mine who's the most popular server at nearby Italian steakhouse, Lago, referred me to Eggshells, and told me to check out their corned beef!) His recommendation was spot-on! I had a great meal at Eggshells! Their menu's so big and full of great selections, I couldn't make up my mind, so I ordered the Irish Skillet (which of course had corned beef as its main ingredient) plus the Smoked Salmon Platter (note: this item doesn't come with a bagel, so I ordered an Everything Bagel too)!Everything tasted fresh and DELICIOUS! Plus, my server, Kaitilin, did a fantastic job with her fast, friendly and efficient service!
This is one of the places that makes you happy when you’re there. The staff is some of the best around. The hostess was pleasant and honest about the abundance of bees on the patio and happily sat us inside. Our server was very sweet and attentive. This was one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever eaten out. My scrambled eggs were fresh and fluffy. You don’t get that everywhere. Handoff the bone was thick and tender. The hash browns were thoroughly cooked with just the right amount of crunch. The pancakes were not at all doughy but light and fluffy. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here and will return because I’m told they have amazing donuts.
